Test Manager Duties and Responsibilities (m/w/d)

Tasks:

  • Responsible for evaluating the requirements analysis and preparation of the corresponding specifications; Management of change requests after publication
  • Preparation of technical documentation according to general standards. This included both internal, detailed features / technical specifications as well as customer-rated product documentation
  • Prepares test strategy procedures, test case specification and test analysis
  • Controlling and planning all test activities such as test plan creation, effort estimation, temporal test planning, risk management and error management
  • Add suppliers‘ products and products to the specific customer solution
  • Creation of technical requirements for the supplier; Review of offers; Supervision of progress
  • Liase with customer, suppliers and company engineers to ensure all parties have the correct understanding of the test requirements
  • Closely cooperate with the Overall Test Manager
  • Seek approval for test cases from technical manager and customer counterpart
  • Formulation and implementation of Software Testing strategies
  • Evaluate the test requirements and deliverables of the test effort
  • Appropriate planning and management of the test resources
  • Resource management (allocation, monitoring, motivating, etc)
  • Preparation/review of test plans
  • Assessing the progress and effectiveness of the test effort
  • Advocating the appropriate level of quality by the resolution of important Defects
  • Advocating an appropriate level of testability focus in the software development process
  • Manage the test engineers

 

Experience:

  • Degree: Technical University or comparable degree
  • knowledge of all aspects of the software engineering process
  • experience in a wide variety of testing efforts, techniques and tools
  • people skills, especially diplomacy and advocacy skills
  • planning and management skills
  • Professional experience: At least 5 years
  • At least 2 years of experience as a system architect in international projects
  • Professional Modeling (UML), Business Process Modeling (BPMN)
  • At least 3 years experience as Technical Project Manager in international projects
  • Flexible when selecting the SW Development Model, classic vs agile
  • Language skills: German and English: fluently, other languages (desirable)
  • Certifications: PMI Certified PMP, SA Certified Scrum Master, (ISC) 2 Certified ISSP, iSTQB Certified Tester Fundamental Level or Higher, iSAQB Certified SW Architect FL or higher
  • Can work as part of a team and have good Intercultural experience
  • A high degree of independence as well as goal-oriented and self-responsible working methods
  • High level of commitment
