For the winter semester 2021/2022 or later, we are offering a 

PROFESSORSHIP (d/f/m) for the subject area „Global Public Health"

at the European Campus Rottal-Inn (salary bracket W2) 

Expectations of successful candidate:

  • The successful candidate holds a degree in Medicine, Health Economics, Epidemiology, Public Health, or and possesses expertise in Global Public Health. International experience is a must.
  • You have experience teaching online and are very well versed in digital health and care.
  • Extensive, sound knowledge of the global health economy, digital patient care as well as health care analytics is required.
  • You possess a wealth of experience networking and collaborating with hospitals, the industry, and political stakeholders.
  • You enjoy working constructively with students and colleagues alike.
  • You are interested in conducting research on global public health topics. These will raise ECRI’s national and international profile as a global player. You will additionally be involved in publishing scientific papers.
  • An interest in national and/or international cooperations as well as an appreciably high degree of motivation to share your knowledge with others round off your profile.
  • Given the Campus’ international focus, your lectures will be held in English, which may include offering them virtually.
  • A very good command of English, plus knowledge of an additional language, would be welcomed. A willingness to learn German is required.

Job requirements:

  • Completed university education;
  • Special ability to carry out research work, which is usually demonstrated by a doctorate qualification;
  • Educational aptitude;
  • Special achievements in the application or development of scientific knowledge and methods in professional practice of a minimum of five years, which must have been completed after obtaining the university degree and of which at least three years must have been completed outside of the higher education sector; in special cases, proof of professional practice outside the higher education sector can be provided by having completed a substantial part of the professional practice of a period of at least five years in cooperation between the higher education and non-higher education sectors.

Your place of work will be located directly on the ECRI campus in Pfarrkirchen. From time to time, you may additionally be required to hold lectures­ at the Deggendorf location. Pfarrkirchen is nestled between the rivers Danube and Inn, idyllically situated, and offers numerous leisure activities. Pfarrkirchen provides exceptional school and educational opportunities and facilities. Nearby locations include the attractive towns of Salzburg, Regensburg and Passau; Munich International Airport is a mere 90-minute drive away. Its proximity to Austria and the Czech Republic makes the county seat of Pfarrkirchen a European focal point.

In accordance with Bavarian Salary Law (Bayerisches Besoldungsgesetz), the successful candidate’s base salary will be that of a W-2 professor. We additionally offer so-called performance-based pay for additional contributions as well as individual research and teaching allowances.
