P6 Design Team Planner/ Scheduler

The Berlin office of Gerber Architekten International is looking for a highly qualified P6 design team planner /scheduler (m / f / d) with suitable experience within an exciting, international prestigious mega-project.

You should have a significant knowledge of the development and delivery of complex project schedules using P6 and at least 5 years of scheduling/planning experience.

Senior and junior candidates with key qualifications are also encouraged to submit their applications.

Your key qualifications:

  • Degree in construction or Project Management as a minimum
  • Experience of working with designers in a project management, or scheduler/planner capacity
  • Understanding of the resourcing and financial aspects of a project and be able to manage these in P6
  • Demonstrated knowledge of design process, codes and standards for a mega project (preferably in KSA)
  • Ability to understand, identify and assess project risks
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent spoken and written English
  • Significant knowledge of the development and delivery of complex project schedules using P6
  • Min 5 years scheduling/planning experience

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Continue in the development of design programmes in P6 Professional
  • Expand high level design schedules in P6 to reflect the design delivery process and deliverables
  • Add resource and costs in P6 as required
  • Provide advice, guidance, and training on scheduling and P6 system, to the design directorates Teams
  • Collaborate with other Design Management Office (DMO) planners and schedulers to add project interdependencies and optimise overall project schedule
  • Gather and collate progress information and reasons for any deviations.
  • Update the design schedule on a regular basis and support the process of recovery plans led by the JV PMO.
  • Prepare regular internal/external weekly and monthly schedule progress report for DMO Team
  • Analyze critical path and constraints to determine the effect of changes to project schedule
  • Ensure high standards of programming are carried out to meet DMO, PMO and Client and contract requirements
  • Challenge the team to explore and exploit mitigations and opportunities
  • Develop and improve working practices in collaboration with JV PMO scheduling team and seek innovative solutions
  • Attend JV scheduling team meetings as required and prepare minutes accordingly
  • Complete and comply with all operational H&S requirements to ensure safe working practices
